Rev. Howard E. Jones

Senior Pastor of Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Reverend Howard E. Jones, Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor of Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. He has served as the leader of this historic Church in both interim and permanent positions, since 1989. He was officially installed as Fairfield’s 10th Pastor on February 25, 1990, during the 102nd anniversary of the Church, continuing a pastoral lineage dating back to 1883.

As a product of the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, Pastor Jones is a strong advocate of education both within the classroom and beyond. A graduate of Whites Creek High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and his master’s degree in education from Tennessee State University, in Nashville. He also attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. A learned scholar in Biblical Studies, he attended American Baptist College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Rev. Jones is a Prince Hall Mason and a recipient of the Pink Tie Award from the American Cancer Society of Davidson County. He is also a recipient of the Community Service Award from the Dr. Bobby Jones Matinee, broadcast internationally on the Impact Network. Additionally, he has received numerous awards and certificates throughout his career.
